Certain Employers That Have Laid Off Workers Now Want to Bring Them Back – Here's What the Procedure Is

Due to the coronavirus crisis, certain employers have laid off workers in the past period. However, after the government's economy stimulus measures were presented, some of them decided to re-employ workers. As numerous branch offices of state services are closed, the procedure is slightly different and is fully electronic.

If you've terminated employment contracts in the past few days and unregistered those workers from the mandatory social insurance and then decided to re-employ them, you need to file a request for determining the status of a policy holder through the form you can download at this link.

The filled-out form and all the necessary documentation listed in it are to be sent to the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund by email at e-salter@pio.rs.
