He told Beta agency that he was satisfied with the results in the year of crisis, in spite of the drop in sales by 22%.
As Jakovljević explained, the orders are much smaller, but "Metalac" has not lost any customer in the world.
The Director General announced that "Metalac" planned to open company in Milwaukee, the United States of America, in 2010, which should enable better penetration of the US market.
As Jakovljević pointed out, "Metalac" did not lay off workers in 2009, and the salaries of 1,550 employees are at the level from November 2008.
- The crisis will also have positive effects because brokers and unfair competition, which does not organize production, will disappear from the market, and that will be a stimulus for "Metalac" to work even more - said Jakovljević and added that the plan for year 2010 included the production growth of 8%.
