"News Corp" sold 49% of TV Fox to Greek "Antenna Group"

Company "News Corporation" announced yesterday (December 28, 2009) that it had reached the agreement with company "Antenna Group" on transfer of 49% of ownership rights in Fox Television.
Fox Television started broadcasting in April 2007 and developed into the third largest TV station (with national frequency) in exceptionally competitive market of commercial TV stations in Serbia.
"Antenna Group" is the leading media group with the headquarters in Athens. It is one of the leading TV networks and production companies in Greece, and it also has businesses in North America, Europe and Australia.
The change in founding rights, for which the procedure for issuing the license by the regulatory bodies is underway, is a part of the business strategy of company "News Corporation" to focus on development of primary business and operations in high-priority markets. The terms of the transfer have not been revealed.
