Total of 98m EUR paid to account of company "Fiat automobili Srbija"

- Company "Fiat" paid 98m EUR today (December 29th, 2009) as the founding capital for the joint venture with the Government of Serbia - "Fiat automobili Srbija" - it was said in the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development, which issued the order for payment on December 23rd.
The Annex to the contract on joint investment was signed in Belgrade on December 23rd between the Republic of Serbia and "Fiat", and that made Kragujevac-based "Zastava" part of "Fiat Group".The contract was signed by the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Economy and Regional Development of Serbia, Mlađan Dinkić, the Vice President of "Fiat Group", Alfredo Altavila, and the President of the Administrative Board of "Fiatautomobili Srbija", Giovani de Philipis.
Minister Dinkić said on that occasion that "Fiat" had given the order for payment of 98m EUR worth of founding capital for the joint venture, and he reminded that 2m EUR had already been paid earlier.
The Vice President of "Fiat Group", Alfredo Altavila, announced earlier that half of the founding capital for "Fiat", out of total of 200m EUR, would be paid by the end of the year, while the remaining 100m EUR would be paid in 2010.
