IKEA Serbia has announced that it will temporarily close its department store in Belgrade today at 6 pm as a preventive measure against the spreading of coronavirus.

– These are special circumstances, and our absolute priority is to ensure the health and safety of our consumers and employees. We listened to them carefully and followed the situation closely. At this moment, we believe that this is the right decision for all of us. We look forward to welcoming back our consumers at the department store in Belgrade in the future – said Sara Del Fabbro, CEO for South East Europe at IKEA.

Online shopping will still be available at ikea.rs and products will still be sent to home addresses, entailing a special contactless procedure.

People are at the core of IKEA's operations, and the company remains dedicated to supporting its employees in the best way possible in this complex situation.

– As a company which cares deeply about people and the planet, our thoughts go to those affected by the virus and those working tirelessly to provide care for them – Sara Del Fabbro adds.
