An airplane of company "Wind Jet" landed at Niš-based airport "Konstantin Veliki" on regular flight Niš - Forli, near Bologna, and then resumed its flight to Italy with over 50 passengers on board.
The airplanes of low-cost company "Wind Jet" will be flying on that route on December 31st and January 8th, due to Christmas and New Year holidays, while regular once-per-week flights (every Friday) will start on January 15th, 2010.
At the same time, the Mayor of Niš, Miloš Simonović, and the representatives of Montenegrin airline "Montenegro Airlines" have reached the agreement in Podgorica on introduction of regular flight between Niš and Podgorica in January 2010.
Simonović said to the media in Niš that the passengers would be able to fly via Podgorica to Zurich and several other destinations in Europe.
Montenegrin company expressed readiness to open its own company in Niš and enrich the offer for the passengers from southeast Serbia in April 2010 with the summer flights to various destinations in Europe.
It was initially announced that "Montenegro Airlines" would establish direct flight from Niš to Zurich in December 2009, but that company had not received necessary permits for that flight from Swiss authorities.
