Novi Sad's refinery to produce oils and lubricants only - production of "eurodiesel" to be moved to Pančevo

- Instead of "euro-diesel", the refinery of "Petroleum Industry of Serbia" in Novi Sad will, from now on, produce only oils and lubricants - Kiril Kravčenko, the Director General of the company, confirmed on Friday, December 25, 2009, at the press conference. However, he did not specify if that meant that the Novi Sad-based refinery would be closed in the future.

According to his words, "euro-diesel" will be produced in the refinery in Pančevo in the future because the costs of production after reconstruction of catalysts are much smaller than in the refinery in Novi Sad.

- Production of "euro-diesel" should grow by 32% in 2010 - said Kravčenko and pointed out that 50% of the needs for that fuel in Serbia would be satisfied in that way.
