In Vrčin, in the vicinity of Belgrade, Water Factory "Aqua Avala" will be put into operation in July 2006. Its construction will cost €5m. The investor is Belgrade-based company "Gročing", which will invest 60% of its own means, whereas the rest will be provided with the help of commercial credits and the Development Fund of Serbia. The annual one-shift capacity of the factory is 20 million bottles of 1.5 l of mineral water, i.e. 5 million big bottles of 5 l. The new industrial unit in Vrčinu has surface of 2,700 square meters: production units, warehouses, laboratories – 1,500 square meters, office space – 1,200 square meters. In addition to all that, the construction of junction 1.8 km long from the Factory to highway E-75 is necessary.
The trial borings showed that the underground accummulation is located at the depth of 127 – 145 m. This was followed by drilling of two wells, analysis of the water and the outcome was: characteristical chemical structure, without bacteria, which places this water in the class of "table natural mineral waters”.
Architectural project of the future factory was elaborated by Maja Begović from the Project Office "AB Kostruktor" from Pančevo.
The equipment will be bought from domestic company "Tehnometal" from Dašnica near Aleksandrovac Župski, which has recently delivered similar equipment to "Prolom voda".
The new factory will also have production line for production of refreshing drinks with Baikal’s herbs, i.e. bottling line for "Russian kvas". Therefore, Russian cosmonaut Leonov Aleksej Arhipovič will be a promoter of "Aqua Avala".
