Public company "Srbijagas" has bought 1.1m EUR worth of stocks of insurance company "Kosig Dunav Osiguranje" from Banjaluka and, thus, become the owner of about 14% of the stocks of the daughter company of Belgrade-based "Dunav osiguranje".
According to Belgrade's weekly magazine NIN, people in "Srbijagas" did not want to answer the question whether and why "Srbijagas" bought Banjaluka-based "Kosig Dunav osiguranje" and if the necessary consent for that transaction was given by the Administrative Board of "Srbijagas" and the Government of Serbia.
The CEO of "Kosig Dunav osiguranje" from Banjaluka, Saša Čudić, did not want to confirm or deny that information. He told NIN that the fifth issue of stocks on the Banja Luka Stock Exchange had been finished successfully on Wednesday, December 16th, and that the names of the new stockholders would not be known until the registration of stocks in the Central Registry and the Court of Commerce was finished.
The magazine writes that the information provided by the Banja Luka Stock Exchange show that only one big transaction was carried out on December 16th, when certain buyer bought stocks worth 2,140,000 KM, that is, about 1.1m EUR.
The spokesperson of the Banjaluka Stock Exchange, Darko Lakić, said that the verification procedure may last up to one month or two, and that the names of ten major stockholders can not be revealed to the public before that.
