Tender for Pančevo-based Glassworks extended until January 29, 2010

The Privatization Agency has extended the deadline for submission of bids for takeover of Glass Industry from Pančevo until January 29, 2010.
Total of 100% of capital of the Pančevo-based glassworks, 81.2% of which is public capital, 14.8% is state-owned capital and 3.9% is in the possession of the Development Fund, is offered for sale.
The fifth tender for sale of that company was announced in October 2009. Not one bid was submitted on the previous tender, and the only bid on the third tender was submitted by Greek company "Yioula Glassworks", which gave up signing of the sales contract.
The glassworks from Pančevo is the only manufacturer of flat glass in Serbia, and it also has the capacities for production of glass for automobile industry, special glass, medical packaging and cast glass.
The factory has 226 workers, and it owns the facilities at total surface of 150,000 square meters.
