"Mobilkom Austria" sees great opportunity for procurement of "Mobtel", Russian "Sistema" and investors surrounding Martin Šlaf and from Iceland

Austrian company "Mobilkom Austria" is of opinion that its chances for entrance to the market of mobile telephony of Serbia through privatization of "Mobtel" increased. "Negotiations between the Government and 'Mobtel' started and if they are to enter Serbian market, that will happen in 2005" said director of Mobilkom Boris Nemšić.

Besides Mobilkom, there is group of businessmen surrounding businessman Martin Šlaf, Russian company "Sistema" and investors from Iceland interested in procurement of about 50% of assets of "Mobtel" from Bogoljub Karić.

All 4 interested parties have already submitted their offers for procurement of Karić's share of "Mobtel". The offer for that part of the company could reach price of 300 million EUR. Sales contract could be signed before summer 2005, said Martin Švedler, president of Raiffaisen Invesmentsa, estimating the value of "Mobtel" to 300 - 500 million EUR.
