The owner of Brewer "Čelarevo", Danish giant in beer industry - "Carlsberg", will fulfill the investment plan three years before the expiration of deadline, so that, by the end of 2006, this foreign company will have been invested all €47m in the domestic beer factory. That is understandable if we take quick growth of "Čelarevo" brewer on the domestic market, i.e. much bigger sale of "lav" and "tuborg" beer, into consideration, says head manager of this domestic brewer Boguslav Barčak.

"Carlsberg" entered the brewer when it ranked the third on the market in Serbia. In the meantime, new brewer "Rodić MB" was opened and it operated very successfully, which changed the brewers’ shares of market and resulted in fall of Čelarevo-based brewer. Therefore, the first aim of "Carlsberg" was to stop the fall, which was managed last year. That means that they managed to drastically increase sales in the second half of 2004. In 2005, they increased sales by 50%, so that they now rank second on the market of Serbia. According to the data in August and September, their sales exceeded even sales of MB Brewer.
