Ivanjica-based socks factory "Proleter" to expand capacities - SIEPA set aside 200,000 EUR

According to still unofficial information, Ivanjica-based socks factory "Proleter", of which majority owner is German company "Atair Gmbh", is going to obtain about 200,000 EUR worth of non-refundable funds from the Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA) for the investments in new factory.
In the meantime, this company, of which almost complete product portfolio is exported to the market of Germany, has also taken two loans under favorable conditions. The first one, in amount of 250,000 EUR, is granted by the Export Credit and Insurance Agency, while the other one, in amount of 140m RSD, is granted by the Development Fund of the Republic of Serbia. How much the company will set aside for this investment from its own funds has not been specified yet.
In the location of the old factory, which was burnt to the ground few years ago, the new one will be built. According to some information, the new factory will employ about 250 workers.
The board members of local assembly have made the decision to free the socks factory from the obligation to pay the fee for organization and use of the building land within next ten years. In return, "Proleter" will be obliged to submit the reports on realization of the investment project to the municipality every six months.
- Ivanjica has high unemployment rate, so that the positive effects of this investment will also contribute to equal regional development - said the people from the Ministry of Economy. By the way, the Agency has approved 18 projects that will enable investments in total amount of about 46.1m EUR in 13 municipalities of Serbia and creation of about 2,250 new jobs.
