The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Serbia, Zorana Mihajlovic, said in Uzice that one of the first sections of the Preljina-Pozega highway to be completed would be the bypass route around Cacak, which should make a trip to Uzice much easier.

– We agreed with the contractors for the bypass route around Cacak to be built simultaneously with the construction of two tunnels, which are the hardest part of this section, as people lose the most time passing through Cacak – Mihajlovic said on TV 5, as reported on the ministry's website.

She expressed her conviction that, in 2020, Serbia would also be able to sign an agreement on the continued construction of the highway from Pozega to the Montenegrin border, the most difficult and expensive section, as the preparation of the technical documentation costs nearly EUR 50 million.

Mihajlovic emphasized that the construction of the Morava Corridor, a highway which will connect Cacak, Kraljevo, Vrnjacka Banja, Trstenik, Krusevac and Cicevac with Corridor 10, had begun as well.

– In two to three years, we will connect Krusevac with Corridor 10 by highway, and in three years, we will connect Kraljevo with the Milos Veliki highway – Mihajlovic added.
