Serbia obtained 50m EUR from EU for budget

- European Union (EU) has decided to grant the aid of 50m EUR to Serbia as a support to the budget - the Office of the Delegation of European Commission in Serbia announced.

It is the first tranche of aid for the support to Serbian budget in 2010.

Serbia should also receive the second tranche of 50m EUR, as well as the loan of 200m EUR for the budget in order to preserve macroeconomic stability.

The funds that were approved today are provided from European Union's IPA funds, of which aim is to help the countries that want to become members of EU. By the way, IPA funds are mainly used for financing of projects.
