The Treasury bills can be bought by both juristic and physical persons, and the incomes from their sales are intended for covering the budget deficit of Serbia. The major buyers of these securities in 2009 were local banks, and NBS was often unsatisfied with that fact and requested from the business banks to invest more money in the loans for the economy sector.
