Beginning of serial production of Pasars system announced

We want to strengthen the arms industry, so that we don't have to purchase military equipment abroad, said Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, announcing that the serial production of the Pasars system was to begin.

He announced that he would visit Krusik Valjevo, which has 3,127 employees, in the next 15-20 days.

He added that there would be new investments in the factory and that the workers would be paid all the late salaries.

Vucic pointed out that the domestic factories had only produced ammunition, but that it was no longer the case.

– With additional investments and the current investments in the Technical Repair Institute Cacak, we will start making top quality armors for our tanks. We are looking to strengthen our arms industry so that we wouldn't have to buy abroad. That is why the military will have 18 new Lazars. The serial production starts for the first time. Pasars will be produced by Zastava Termo, Prva Petoletka and FAP – Vucic said.

The president said that he believed that, with addition funds, all the arms factories would benefit.
