CCIS: Products from Serbia in leading store chains in UAE this spring

New products from Serbia are expected in the leading store chains in the United Arab Emirates this spring, the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia announced.

– Serbian companies, which had a successful presentation at the recently held Gulfood international show in Dubai, are having intensive negotiations with business partners on the export of products to the Middle East market, and the realization of the first exporting agreements is expected as well – the press release says.

Between February 16 and 20, fourteen food companies took part in the 25th Gulfood, the most important food industry show in the Middle East, and their presentation was organized by the CCIS and the Development Agency of Serbia.

It was announced that a delegation of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce would visit Serbia in early April.

– The cooperation with store chains is already being made concrete. I am certain that these will be successful arrangements and that more and more new products from Serbia will end up in the markets of the Middle East – said the head of the CCIS Office in Dubai, Marko Selakovic.

He said that companies from the UAE and the Dubai Chamber of Commerce believe that food products from Serbia are of remarkable quality, but that more needs to be done on “branding, certification and stability of the quantities, so that we would be competitive in the global market”.
