Chinese Development Bank wants to buy 30.6% of Nova Ljubljanska Banka

- Chinese Development Bank is interested in purchase of the share of 30.6% in Nova Ljubljanska Banka (NLB) - Slovenian media announced on December 11th.

According to an anonimous source, because of that acquisition, the representatives of the Chinese national bank had the meeting with the management of the leading financial company in Slovenia, as well as with the representatives of the Ministry of Finance of Slovenia.

At the moment, aforementioned ownership share in NLB is held by Belgian finance group KBC. That group announced that it wanted to sell its share in NLB, for which it set aside 435m EUR in 2002. Slovenian Government is the largest individual owner of NLB Bank with 33% of stocks in its possession.
