Anđelko Trpković resigned from his position as CEO of Belgrade Fair

The CEO of the Belgrade Fair, Anđelko Trpković, announced yesterday (December 8, 2009) that he had submitted the letter of resignation after five years in that position.

- I made that decision after I was introduced to the decisions of the Presidency of my party (Serbian Renewal Movement), at the suggestion of which I assumed this position in the first place - Trpković explained in the written statement submitted to Tanjug.

He explained that, according to those decisions, "the appointed persons are expected to support the positions and consistently implement the decisions of the party organs".

- Since I already made the decision in January 2008 and informed the party's management that I was not going to take active part in the work of the party, as an appointed person, I find it my obligation to resign from the position - Trpković pointed out.

He said that he was extremely satisfied with the fact that the Belgrade Fair had earned back its reputation of the most significant company of the kind in the Balkans.

- Even in 2009, which was very complex for doing business, the Belgrade Fair will register increase in turnover and profit of over 2m EUR - he added.
