Media group CEMP became owner of regional advertising network "Etarget"

Company "Central European Media & Publishing" (CEMP) has taken over the ownership share of 20% in Internet advertising network "Etarget".

According to Hungarian media, CEMP became the 100% owner of company "Etarget SE" on November 12th. "Etarget" has its headquarters in Bratislava and operates in 8 countries (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Croatia, Serbia and Bulgaria).

Founders and former managers of the company, Peter Vidovič and Robert Vereš, sold their shares last month, while the new CEO is Marcel Vaš, former Sales and Marketing Manager.

Company "Etarget" was founded in 2002 in Slovakia and Czech Republic. It started operations in Hungary in 2004, while the business activities in four new markets (Serbia, Croatia, Romania and Bulgaria) commenced in 2007. "Etarget" opened its office in Poland in 2008, while its franchise was introduced in Columbia in 2009.

Previous investment group GEPF from Czech Republic took over the minority share in capital in 2006 and sold it, two years later, to CEMP group, which is now the 100% owner. CEMP is the media empire in Hungary and it comprises some of the best online media such as business daily and opinion daily newspapers, travel websites, as well as other online companies outside the media industry such as the biggest online bookstore in Hungary and social network inda.hu.

"Etarget" is present in Serbia since 2007. This advertising network provides the services of aimed contextual advertising according to the 'pay per click' system, while the advertising within the network of partner portals is completely free of charge. The number of websites where "Etarget" advertisements can be seen is qualitatively growing - registration with www.etarget.rs is for free, and once the basic budget of 6,000 RSD is paid, the advertisement is shown on 270 most visited Serbian websites. The CEO of "Etarget" in Serbia is Vlastimir Čobrda.
