Ministry of Education planning construction of twenty research centers

The minister of education, science and technological development of Serbia, Mladen Sarcevic, said today that the ministry planned to build twenty research centers for various scientific fields over the next ten years in the territory of Serbia.

While visiting the Center for Professional Development in Krusevac, Sarcevic said that, among other things, the construction of three centers for ecology and three robotics centers was planned and that Jastrebac would be one of the ecology bases.

– Air pollution would be primarily studied in Jastrebac. In Sremska Mitrovica, that is, in Zasavica, will be a parallel center, where water pollution is to be studied, whereas the center which is being built in Bela Crkva will deal with geoscience – Sarcevic said.

According to him, the centers will not be of local character. Each will be available to children from throughout Serbia and the state will partially finance them.
