The Republic Telecommunications Agency (RATEL) announced on Friday (December 4, 2009) that four companies had applied for participation in the procedure of public auction for issuing the license for the second operator of fixed telecommunication network and services on the territory of Republic of Serbia.

The companies that submitted their applications are "Telenor", "VIP mobile", Cypriot company "Kerseyco Trading Limited" and "Konsing" group.

The deadline for submission of bids is January 12, 2010.
