Economic-political delegation of Styria to visit Serbia on December 11 - improvement of cooperation between Austrian and Serbian companies

- The economic-political delegation of Styria will visit Serbia on December 11th, 2009. The aim of the visit is improvement of economic cooperation between Serbia and Austria and continuation of previous successful cooperation between Serbia and Styria - the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia announced.

The delegation is led by Christian Buchmann, a member of the Government of Styria who is in charge of economy and finance. The delegation also includes Ulfried Hainzl, the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Styria, the representatives of ICS-International Center for Internationalization of Affairs of the Chamber of Commerce of Styria and the representatives of Styria-based companies.

In addition to improvement of overal economic cooperation and establishment of contacts between the entrepreneurs from the two countries, the aim of the visit is presentation of the potentials of Serbia's economy with the aim of intensification of mutual cooperation in the fields of renewable energy sources and ecology, as well as finding new investment opportunities for Styria-based companies in Serbia in the field of infrastructure.

According to the programme, the current economic situations in Styria and Serbia will be presented at the plenary meeting, while the focus will be placed on the possibility of cooperation in the field of energy and positive experiences in that domain. After the plenary meeting, the representatives of companies of both sides will continue the talks about future cooperation in accordance with their own interests.
