EFT intending to build solar power plant near Bileca

Vuk Hamovic, the biggest trader of electrical energy in the region, plans to build a huge solar power plant, with photovoltaic cells taking up 133 ha, in the village of Skrobotno near Bileca, the Capital portal learns.

The installed power of this facility will be 60 MW, and the annual production has been estimated at 84 GWh.

As Capital learns, at the request of Hamovic's company EFT International Investments Holding Limited, the Government of Republika Srpska adopted the decision on initiating the procedure of the awarding of a concession at the session held on January 16, 2020.

Let us remind that Hamovic has two companies for the production and export of electricity in Republika Srpska.


One of them is "Rudnik i termoelektrana Stanari" near Doboj, which had an income of BAM 196 million (EUR 98 million) and a profit of slightly under BAM 40 million (EUR 20 million) in 2018. The other one is "EFT Bileca", with only three employees, which earned BAM 91.2 million (more than EUR 45 million) from international electricity trade and made a profit of BAM 166,352 (EUR 83,000) in 2018.
