Construction of Nis-Pristina highway to begin this summer – EUR 200 million for first section

The construction of the first section of the Nis-Pristina highway will begin in the third quarter of 2020, as announced at the National Assembly of Serbia by the Minister of Construction, transport and Infrastructure of Serbia, Zorana Mihajlovic.

The first section, to Plocnik, will cost EUR 200 million and be financed from a loan, and an agreement has already been signed on the first 100 million.

She said that the importance of roads was great, as they connected areas and helped prevent local residents from moving out.

The profile of the roads depends on the analyses and the frequency of the traffic, and, as she said, one section will be done as a semi-profile.
