Over 50m RSD from the various sources have, so far, been invested in equipping the industrial park at 10 ha in the village of Kupusina, in the vicinity of Apatin.

Last year, 16.5m RSD from the Capital Investments Fund of APV were invested in the commencement of the first phase of construction. That money was spent on construction of the junction for heavy vehicles in four parcels and part of the parking lot, and installation of the scale that measures the objects that weigh up to 60 tons and substation of 630 kW.

Total of 27m RSD have been provided from the same sources this year for continuation of construction of infrastructure. About 7.5m RSD, which were provided by the Secretariat of Agriculture of APV, will be used for construction of the technical water supply system and concrete covering of the wastewater drainage canal alongside the park complex. The municipality of Apatin will finance construction of special telephone network, and each lot will get ten phone lines. The first four lots at 10 ha will be connected to the gas system in the first half of the next year, and they will be completely equipped by that time, which means that they will have access road, electricity, technological and drinking water, phones, gas, and the possibility of use of the scale.

In the years to come, the industrial park in Kupusina will be expanded to another 35 ha. Reloading and measuring of fruits and vegetables are currently the only things that can be done in the park. People in the local community say that they expect larger number of industrial units for processing fruits and vegetables, which will enable creation of new jobs. Kupusina is, by the way, the place famous for production of vegetables that were once supplied to numerous coastal cities and republic centers of the former country.

Two more villages from the municipality of Apatin, Prigrevica and Svilojevo, plan to have industrial zones built on their territories. These villages ask from NIP to help construction of the junction that would connect them. Total of 80 ha alongside that junction would be reserved for construction of the industrial zone, and each village would get 40 ha.
