Reconstruction of cinema "Arena" in Novi Sad commenced

After a long process of privatization of cinema "Arena", it is more and more likely that the citizens of Novi Sad will soon be able to watch the latest movies in a modern ambient.

- We started the preparation works yesterday (November 25, 2009). We still need to do some tests, but we expect everything to go as planned and that "Arena" in Novi Sad will be turned into the most beautiful cinema in the country within the next seven months - Zoran Cvetanović, the CEO of Belgrade-based movie, TV and video distribution company "Art Vista" that rented that cinema on the period of 15 years, told "Danas".

There will be two halls with 150 seats each on the ground floor and in the central part of the cinema, while two smaller halls with 67 and 72 seats will be situated on the sides of that floor. Remaining two halls with 500 and 76 seats will be settled on the first floor, and a gallery will be built in front of them. The cinema will be equipped with digital projectors, which will enable watching of 3D movies, and "Dolby digital" sound system. Thanks to the Internet, in addition to the movies, the visitors of "Arena" will also be able to watch live broadcasts of various cultural-artistic events in the world.
