Money provided for Corridor 10

Financial structure for construction of Corridor 10 has almost been completed. Total of 1.5 billion EUR has already been provided by the world banks.

Based on the available funds, the plan has been made for construction in stages and, according to Milutin Mrkonjić, the Minister of Infrastructure, Corridor 10 should be finished prior to the end of year 2012.

- The world finance institutions have granted us the money for construction of Corridor 10. The whole project documentation will be finished prior to May 2010, and we have already completed expropriation of the land, which was the condition for us to obtain the loans from the world banks - says Mrkonjić.

He announced that the tender for bypass around Dimitrovgrad would be opened on Thursday, as well as that two sections of Corridor 10 between Horgoš and Novi Sad, 40 kilometers long, of which construction had been financed from the budget, would be opened for traffic on Sunday.

- Construction of 8.5 km of the bypass between Železnik and Orlovača has also been completed - says Mrkonjić.
