"Interbrew" announced intention for sale of Apatin Brewer

Dutch holding "Interbrew Central European", the majority owner of the Apatin Brewer, announced today (November 25, 2009) its intention for sale of stocks of the manufacturer of "Jelen" beer on the website of the Belgrade Stock Exchange.

"Interbrew" will sell 99.99% of stocks in the Apatin Brewer to company "Starbrew" with the headquarters in Luxembourg, which is a daughter company of "CVC Capital Partners".

It is expected that "Interbrew" will sell 1.94m stocks of the Apatin Brewer to company "Starbrew" on February 1st or even before.

The Apatin Brewer registered incomes of 14 billion RSD in 2008. The brewer sold 3.6m hl of beer, 4.2% more than in 2007.

"CVC Capital Partners", a global finance and investment company, announced earlier that it planned to keep the existing brands and businesses in Serbia and all other countries.
