- Arrest the last two indictees, that is the best way for you to get Netherlands on your side - said Krister Bringeus, the Ambassador of Sweden, in Kragujevac. He and his colleagues, the heads of the missions of the EU countries accredited in Serbia, spoke to the Mayor of Kragujevac, Veroljub Stevanović, young citizens of Kragujevac and the secondary school and university students. The programme also included the visit to "Zastava".
Bringeus said at the press conference in Kragujevac that the governments of the countries members of EU wanted to cooperate with stable Serbia. He said that the EU enlargement was one of the priorities of Sweden as the presiding country, and he pointed out that "Europe will not be united without the countries of western Balkans."
The Mayor of Kragujevac said that the ambassadors were primarily interested in learning when Kragujevac would be connected to Corridor 10 and how the cooperation with the Government of Serbia looked like.
Pointing out that EU, through various projects, has invested 1.3m EUR in Kragujevac to the date, the Head of the Delegation of European Commission in Serbia, Vincent Degert, said that the aim of the visit of European ambassadors to the cities and municipalities in the provinces of Serbia was to help the citizens understand the benefits of the membership in EU.
