KRAVČENKO: NIS's losses are not Serbia's burden

- The majority owner of the Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS), company "Gazpromneft", is not going to submit any additional request to the Government of Serbia because of the NIS's last year's losses of 8 billion RSD - said Kiril Kravčenko, the Director General of that company.

He said that "Gazpromneft" was not going to reexamine the decision on purchase of the majority share of stocks or the price at which they had been bought because of that debt, although it was entitled to seek compensation by the agreement.

- The stockholders agree that the most correct solution is the introduction of necessary measures for improvement of current and future operative efficiency of NIS. We've been positively resolving all the problems with the Government of Serbia since summer - the CEO added.

According to the words of Kravčenko, they are worried because the situation with the company's property is still unsettled, and not because of "what happened".

As he explained, the property of NIS will be registered by the end of the year, while only 2% of the property is registered at the moment.

Kravčenko pointed out that he was not disappointed with the investment in takeover of NIS and that everything in the future would be done according to the strategy, which anticipated larger investments than guaranteed and was in consideration at the moment.
