"Telfor 2009" opened - all innovations in fields of telecommunications and information technologies at one place


The 17th Telecommunications Forum "Telfor" was opened today (November 24, 2009) in Belgrade-based "Sava" Center.
This event gathers local and regional experts for telecommunications and information technologies, and the organizers are the Telecommunications Society and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade.
"Telfor" was ceremoniously opened by the Minister of Telecommunications of Serbia, Jasna Matić, who announced on that occasion that the draft of the new Law on Electronic Communications would be forwarded to the Government for consideration within the next few days.
According to the words of the Minister, that Law will "enable harmonization of the regulations governing electronic communications with European regulations, market liberalization, better protection of consumers and greater independent of the regulatory body".
The main subjects at "Telfor", which will be closed on November 26th, are mobile radio systems and environment protection, and the forum will also comprise numerous workshops and round tables.
