Cancellation of General Plan caused stoppage of entire construction in Municipality of Budva

Building machines on territory of Municipality of Budva are stopped. Authorized agency of Municipal administration stopped issuing of building permits after recent opinion given by the Ministry of Spatial Organization and Environment of Government of Republic of Montenegro, according to which detailed city plans of this territory are nothing but worthless drawings. This opinion is a result of the decision made by Constitutional Court of Montenegro, which cancelled General Plan of the Municipality. Since the detailed plans are of lower class, they are not valid anymore, so that continuation of construction is not allowed. According to some new translations, it is necessary that the spatial and general plan are passed first, after which detailed plans must be brought into accord with them. That job will take at least 6-10 months.
