Sarajevo-Podgorica flights expected soon

The Mayor of Podgorica, Ivan Vuković, has said that flights between Podgorica and Sarajevo should be established shortly, which will further improve relations between the two cities.

– I am particularly delighted that flights between Sarajevo and Podgorica will be introduced, while there is a high probability that services to Zagreb will also be resumed – he said.

Croatia Airlines recently confirmed its plans to launch flights from Zagreb to the Montenegrin capital.

Services between Sarajevo and Podgorica have operated on an on-and-off basis over the past few years. Bosnia and Herzegovina’s former flag carrier B&H Airlines flew between Sarajevo and Skopje via Podgorica, EX-YU Aviation News writes.

Following its collapse, Flydubai introduced a short-lived service between the capitals of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.

Flights between the two were last operated in March 2018.
