New buildings to be raised for around ten faculties in Serbia – Education Strategy until 2030

Serbian Education Minister Mladen Sarcevic says that the reform of education rests on good foundations, but that the effects of this all-encompassing process will be visible only in 2028, because, as he says, a more difficult part of the job is to follow now, namely, the execution of programmatic and organizational changes, which takes time.

The focus will be placed on the higher education infrastructure. New buildings are to be raised for the faculties of electrical engineering, biology, geography and security studies in Belgrade, the arts faculties, the Technical Faculty in Cacak, as well as faculties in Nis and Kragujevac.

A new Education Strategy until 2030 is being prepared as well. It envisages an increase in the number of people with higher education. Also, in an effort to keep young people from leaving the country, technology parks and startups are being opened and the financing for science is being changed as well.
