"Ikarbus" started production, first eight buses for "Lasta"

- Bus factory "Ikarbus" has put its units in operation again to finish the agreed production of eight buses for the needs of "Lasta" - said Velimir Gligorić, the president of the trade union of employees.

- Production of these buses should be finished prior to December 15th, and we don't know what will happen to us after that - Gligorić pointed out.

According to his words, Italian "Breda menarinibus" plans to rent factory "Ikarbus" on the period of minimum two years, start production of about 400 buses per year and, thus, employ 300 workers.

According to the announcements from Bologna, "Breda menarinibus" intends to produce everything from frameworks to bus electronics in "Ikarbus", which was not the case before since that factory was only assembling buses from delivered parts.
