– In an effort to help the economy and provide legal security to the parties in the procedure, the Customs Administration, in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), has created a national and a regional database of binding notices, which contributes to the security and increases the predictability of the business environment – the Customs Administration said.
Parties to the customs procedure that obtain a binding notice, a document issued at a party's request, being a guarantee act introduced to the legal system by the Customs Law, get a guarantee that, under the conditions listed therein, they will be able to exercise their rights.
Over 1,000 national and regional binding notices are available at this link, enabling other companies looking to carry out the same activities to plan their operations with greater security.
– The national and the regional electronic database of binding notices on the sorting of goods, which is similar in structure and functionality to the database used by EU states (EBTI), will enable a quicker and more efficient harmonization of the sorting of goods by tariffs on a regional level, an insight into the practices and the positions of other administrations, and it will also facilitate the identification of goods in cases of the checking of preferential origin – the Customs Administration says.
