- Tender for sale of chemical industry "Župa" was unsuccessful for the fourth consecutive time because none of the potential buyers submitted the bid - that company announced today (November 16, 2009).
The Director General of "Župa", Miroljub Milojević, told Beta agency that he expected the production to be started by the end of the year because the factory had obtained 120m RSD on the basis of the contract that had been signed with the Republic Development Fund the week before.
- "Župa" is ready for the new owner at the moment, under the condition that it is a serious partner - he said.
According to his words, the priority is commencement of production of blue stone.
The company must first pay the late gas and electricity bills of about 20m RSD and buy raw materials.
The last payment that the employees of "Župa" received was the first half of the July salary.
About 100 workers are currently engaged in production of pesticides, while around 350 out of total of 560 employees are coming to work every day.
According to Milojević's words, social programme, which anticipates voluntary leave of about 80 workers, will be realized at the beginning of the next year.
Privatization of this Kruševac-based chemical industry, which is the only manufacturer of chlorine in Serbia, commenced in 2002.
