The Turkish investor Mel Tekstil, which produces car seat covers, will arrive to Kovin, Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic announced. As she pointed out, the company will create 300 new jobs.

– The negotiations have been completed. The Turkish investor will create 100 new jobs within the first year of operations, and then all 300 – Brnabic said in Deliblato, where she opened the reconstructed Kovin-Deliblato road section on Saturday, December 21.

The reconstructed road is over nine kilometers long, serving the people of Deliblato and Mramorak and the visitors of the Deliblato Sands Nature Reserve.

– Highways and high-speed routes are important as well, but it's equally important to build local and regional roads – Brnabic said and added that hundreds of kilometers of such roads had been built in Serbia.

She pointed out that it was important for there not to be second-class citizens or municipalities in Serbia when it comes to investments and construction works.

Brnabic announced the reconstruction of the Deliblato-Mramorak road and emphasized that, in the strategic investment plan Serbia 2025, which would be presented by the end of 2019, substantial funds will be set aside for local and regional roads, it is said on the website of the Government of Serbia.
