Strategic partnership with Italy - Serbia signed several bilateral agreements in Rome

Prime ministers of Italy and Serbia, Silvio Berlusconi and Mirko Cvetković, respectively, signed the Declaration on strategic partnership between the two countries on November 14th in Rome.
The joint declaration on commencement of strategic partnership between the two countries was signed during the first Italy-Serbia Summit, which was held in the palace of Kiđi. The Declaration was signed in the presence of the President of Serbia, Boris Tadić, who led the delegation of Serbia at that Summit.
That document anticipates provision of support to acceleration of full integration of Serbia into European Union, privileged bilateral relations and exchange of experts in all sectors.
It also anticipates strengthening of economic relations by encouraging Italian companies to use the new investment opportunities in Serbia and take part in the privatization process, as well as cooperation in several fields.
The Summit of the governments of Serbia and Italy started in Rome with the meeting of the President of Serbia, Boris Tadić, and the Prime Minister of Italy, Silvio Berlusconi.
According to the announcement, several bilateral agreements from the fields of infrastructure, energy, agriculture, military cooperation, internal affairs, cultural-educational and scientific-technical cooperation will also be signed.
The Summit is attended by nine ministers from Serbia: Ivica Dačić, Mlađan Dinkić, Vuk Jeremić, Dragan Šutanovac, Saša Dragin, Petar Škundrić, Milutin Mrkonjić, Slobodan Milosavljević and Oliver Dulić.
