"Sojaprotein" registered three times smaller profit in first 9 months of year 2009 than in same period in 2008

- "Sojaprotein" registered three times smaller profit before taxation in the first nine months of year 2009 than in the same period in 2008 - the soybean manufacturer from Bečej announced on the website of the Belgrade Stock Exchange on November 13th.
Profit from regular operations in the first three quarters of this year amounted to 514.7m RSD, while the profit in the same period last year was 1.67 billion RSD.
The biggest soybean-processing company in Serbia and one of the leaders in central and east Europe registered incomes worth 12.55 billion RSD in the first nine months of this year, while the incomes in the same period in 2008 amounted to 13.15 billion RSD.
Nine-month expenditures of "Sojaprotein" were also smaller, but insignificantly, than in the same period in 2008 - 11.36 billion RSD against 11.38 billion RSD.
By the way, business incomes of "Sojaprotein" in the first six months of year 2009 amounted to 9.49 billion RSD, while the gross profit was 180.8m RSD. Projected incomes for the second half of the year amount to 6.6 billion RSD, while the projected gross profit is 846.9m RSD.
The manufacturer of oil and fat from Bečej registered incomes of 20.3 billion RSD, expenditures of 19.9 billion RSD and gross profit of 418.53m RSD in 2008.
The stocks of "Sojaprotein" in the Prime Market of the Belgrade Stock Exchange currently cost 1,045 RSD. They reached their maximum value of 1,300 RSD in September and minimum value of 470 RSD in March.
