– We have had several phases of the negotiations with the Serbian side. We have been to Belgrade and they have been here. The cooperation is twofold – modernization of the existing rolling stock, which we have already proposed, and the procurement of around 100 new trams – Semizorov said.
He specified that the conditions of the procurement would be quite favorable for the purchasers who can't pay for the ordered trams at once.
Yury Borisov, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, earlier announced that Russia could begin the delivery of trams to Serbia.
