At the end of 2019, Komercijalna Banka expects an all-time-high profit of EUR 74 million, the chairman of the board, Vladimir Medan, stated in his interview for Blic, as reported by Tanjug.

– This year, Komercijalna Banka has proven that even under the conditions of a changing ownership it can develop and grow. In other words, Komercijalna Banka will continue operating at full capacity, regardless of who the owner is – Medan said on December 16, the deadline date for the submission of binding bids for the sale of this bank, the largest state bank in Serbia.

He reminded that, in 2019, the bank had experienced significant changes in ownership. The state bought out shares from three important shareholders and became the owner of 83% of the capital of the bank, which at the same time managed to grow and keep all the parameters of security and stability.

According to him, during the sale process, they managed to increase foreign exchange savings by EUR 70 million, the productivity of the employees by 20% over a period of four years and the assets per employee by 18%.

Medan believes that it is realistic to expect Euribor to enter the zero, positive phase in two years, and maybe even as soon as next year.
