Mercator Group plans income of EUR 2.3 billion in 2020

Mercator Group is planning an income of EUR 2.3 billion in 2020, as well as an EBITDA of EUR 110 million, the management of the Slovenian store chain announced through the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.

That's an increase compared to earlier announcements for the current year, according to which Mercator expects an income of EUR 2.1 billion and an EBITDA of EUR 91 million, Seebiz writes.

– In 2020, Mercator will continue realizing the strategy of development, in which the crucial thing is to achieve a growth of the income and an operating success of the best local retailer in all the markets the company operates in – says the press release made on the occasion of the adoption of the business plan for 2020.

In the upcoming year, Mercator also plans to continue deleveraging the investment in the amount of EUR 44 million, of which more than a half in Slovenia.

The plan is to also continue the activities on the construction of a large logistics-distribution center in Ljubljana, the completion of which should take place by the end of 2021, Mercator emphasizes.
