International port for reloading containers soon in Apatin - the Chinese expressed greatest interest in construction

Following the completion of construction of water factory, marina and state-of-the-arts eight-lane bawling room, the municipality of Apatin plans construction of freight-transportation center (RTC) and international port.
- Construction of these facilities represents the greatest development chance for Apatin. International port for reloading containers will be built within RTC, which is situated beneath the city, in the industrial zone at 160 ha – the Mayor of Apatin, Živojin Smiljanić, told "eKapija".

After the location of RTC Apatin is covered with sand, for which 191m RSD was set aside, the objective conditions are created for construction of transportation terminal and factory facilities and units, which draw the attention of both local and foreign investors.
The feasibility study for this construction has been elaborated by company "Second group".
- The municipality will provide the location, while all other investments will be provided by the investors. We are currently negotiating with a Chinese company and we expect them to start construction soon – Smiljanić told "eKapija".
