US company "Green Star Alternative Energy" (GSAE) said it is negotiating to acquire privately-held Notos d.o.o. in Serbia.
The two firms are currently joint venture partners on several wind energy projects in the Republic of Serbia.
In a statement, "Green Star" said it expects the acquisition to be completed with the issuance of between five and ten million restricted shares.
Notos specializes in the creation of electricity from wind energy, and it plans to build a farm with 19 wind-generators in Zrenjanin's village of Belo Blato. Future farm will be situated at the junction of the Begej and Tisa rivers, in the vicinity of nature reserve Carska Bara.
San Diego-based "Green Star" is pursuing an opportunity to provide clean energy to the
Republic of Serbia and neighboring European countries.
GSAE is focused on green technology and sustainable energy programs like wind turbines, hydro electric power generation, and other renewable electricity models.
