Municipality of Inđija and Novi Sad-based Faculty of Technical Sciences to open IT College

Municipality of Inđija and the Novi Sad Faculty of Technical Sciences are getting ready to open the first IT college in Serbia. The college should be opened in 2010 and, according to the words of the Mayor of Inđija, Goran Ješić, local self-government is to provide the space, while the curriculum will be designed and conducted by the Faculty of Technical Sciences.

- Our general concept is to educate new staff for the needs of the industry in Inđija, that is, to design the curriculum in the way to satisfy the needs of investors and make it easier for young people to get jobs. When it comes to the college that we plan to open in Inđija, its aim is to make it possible for the graduates to become competitive in the labor market once the IT park is opened in Inđija. Besides, our idea is to improve the living conditions in Inđija and enable the experts who will be working in IT park to live here, which will be an additional quality of our city - said Goran Ješić, the Mayor of Inđija.

According to the plan, the information-technology park in Inđija should be built at the surface of 220 ha and comprise about 250,000 square meters of office, residential and catering space, which should lead to creation of large number of jobs. That is why the local self-government's planning documentation anticipates construction of housing projects in the vicinity of IT park, which should create conditions for young and successful people to have good future in Inđija.
