B&H takes control over own airspace above 10,000 meters

Two nights ago, Bosnia and Herzegovina took over the control over its own airspace above 10,000 meters.

Nedjo Trninic, the Minister of Traffic and Communications of Republika Srpska, said that, with the total control of air traffic above B&H, a full supervision over the country’s own territory and a substantial increase in the income would be enabled.

– This is very important and will enable B&H to have total supervision over its territory and substantial additional income, as the current income will increase by over 20%. We are developing two control centers – one in Banjaluka for flights up to 10,000 meters, and one in Sarajevo for flights over 10,000 meters – Trninic said, as announced by the ministry.

The acquisition of control will enable a further development in this field.
