Destruction of Cyan Bacteria - a Project of the Company, "Sun" in Competition for the Prize of the World Bank

The project of the company "Sun" from Novi Sad, the destruction of cyan bacteria in the ponds was elected to the 100 projects from around the world compete for the prize of the World Bank, which is awarded for innovation in environmental protection.

The competition, which reported a total of 1755 projects, will be held from 10 to 13 November in Washington.

The project company "Sun," done in collaboration with the Faculty of Natural Sciences in Novi Sad.

Blue- green algae or cyan bacteria are the first photosynthetic organisms on earth and in waters that are rich in organic matters, (the smaller lakes, ponds) creates a dense coating, which is called "blossom of the water".

During their breeding, blue-green algae consume lots of oxygen, and when it comes to disappear of their disappearance and release various toxins that can lead to plague of the living world.
